"The story begins..."
Founded in 2012, Les Fabulateurs company creates shows that are hybrids between storytelling and theater. Their stories are original and above all, they reflect on children’s specific emotional challenges. Their absurd sense of humor allows them to build bridges between childhood and adulthood. With every production, they explore new ways to break the fourth wall and involve children as active spectators. Through storytelling, which opens them to many possibilities, they are able to speak to the audience and we use its codes to involve children in their shows. They entrust them with the tools that help us reflect on the world together. Reflect the world, and reinvent it.

With his mind set on revenge against the sea that left him stranded on a volcano island’s shore, the Manipulpe, a half-shark half-human creature, will attempt everything in his power to establish a reign of terror on the waters. With the help of his pirate army, he terrorizes the seas until, one day, a peculiar little bearded baby comes forward to oppose the creature’s reign. However, how will this unconventional hero manage to defeat an entire legion with only a rose on his belt as a weapon?
Inhabited with wacky characters, bearded children and with a larger than life hero, La Légende de Barbe d’Or, with its jazz rhythmed songs and its unusual humor will bring joy to both children and parents.

After a helium leak in their apartment, a world-champion in balloon bouquets clown couple give birth to a floating child, Héli. His secret is kept rigorously by his parents until, one day, an unfortunate event sends him floating away to meet his own destiny.
The story of Héli, l’enfant cerf-volant unfolds like an investigation by exploring the memories, both genuine and imaginary, of the two protagonists/storytellers. By reminiscing and going back in time, they will attempt to find the truth behind the legend.
Mixing storytelling, screen projection and puppetry, Héli, l’enfant- cerf-volant is loaded with poetry, humor and a dash of absurdity. A flourishing show that questions our relationship with memory and truth within this era of media and fake news.
