ZEUGMA DANCE team
« A refreshing gust of wind that sends categories flying in all directions and turns standard definitions of dance styles on their head. ZEUGMA embodies what we forget is at the very core of creation: inventing what doesn’t yet exist. »
- Émilie Coulombe, Les méconnus

Discover a brand-new playground for percussive dance ! Created by Canadian dance phenomenon ZEUGMA DANCE, their first in situ creation entitled Cube takes dance out of the theatre and onto the streets.
Feel the rhythm and enjoy the buzz as four dancers and percussionists create a seemingly spontaneous show inspired by the space and spectators around them, transforming their environment, moving from a free and exploded space to a constraining structure. This compression of space will influence the gestural vocabulary
of the performers as much as the emotional charge conveyed.
Power and resilience are at the heart of this percussive work that drives reflection on the ability of humans to face adversity.

ZEUGMA DANCE steps into the public sphere with Aube, a dramatic yet exciting choreographic work that has audiences experiencing percussive dance as they never have before !
Immerse yourself in the powerful rhythms and elegant gestures of four performers who artfully play with the elements that constrain them, all in order to escape their hold. This progressive emancipation transforms the dancers’ space, their gestural vocabulary, and the way they are viewed by onlookers.
Passion and determination are at the core of this percussive dance allegory on how we understand the place of women in the 21st century.

ZEUGMA DANCE enters the public’s heart with Errances inspired by the clever encounter between feminine and masculine energies. Follow the inspiring journey of eight performers who unite in the face of uncertainty to live an epic adventure that will transcend reality itself.
Exhilarating rhythms and poetic images punctuate this choreographic work in which the environment is continually transformed, revealing new places and forms.
Complicity and trust are central to this percussive dance work that contrasts self-knowledge, the fear of the unknown, and the power of unity.
